Employees who enroll in a high-deductible health plan with a health savings account for next year will be eligible to open a flexible spending account for their dental and vision expenses - an option not available to them in the past.
Traditional flexible spending accounts (FSAs), where pretax earnings can be set aside to cover most health care expenses not paid by medical insurance, aren't available to employees with health savings accounts (HSAs) under IRS rules. However, IRS allows an employee to have both types of accounts if the FSA is for limited uses, such as only dental and vision expenses.

Amalgam -- silver-mercury alloy used to fill cavities
Bicuspid -- adult type of tooth located between the front teeth (incisors and canines) and the back teeth (molars). These teeth are used for crushing and mashing food, with two on the top and two on the bottom of each side of the mouth.
Bonding -- process that first etches the tooth's enamel, and then uses resin to attach tooth-colored fillings or veneers to a tooth
Bridge -- nonremovable replacement for one or more missing teeth, anchored by teeth on either side of the gap.
